A carnival called the Tupton Carnival is a yearly event held on a Saturday in July. A young lady is elected Carnival Queen and travels through the village attended by the carnival princes and princesses and followed by a procession of floats, bands and fancy dress participants.
Outside St. John's Church is a War memorial for 42 soldiers who died in WW1, 12 soldiers who died in WW2 and 11 parishoners who were killed on 15 March 1941 in Tupton. Click Here.
Apart from a website we organise a programme of events covering a wide variety of subjects. We meet four times a year at St. John's Church in Tupton. We organise speakers who come and talk about local history, and occasionally further afield.
A new group has been set up as a sub committee of Tupton Parish Council.
